The Sound Hauling & Junk Removal Story
Thank you for stopping by and giving our family the opportunity to serve you.
The whole point of "this", is to treat both people and our planet with respect. That begins with fairness. We are family, and will treat you like it.
And speaking of family, let's introduce the team:
Alex (me) was raised in the Pacific Northwest, in a family of entrepreneurs and outdoor enthusiasts, I've always enjoyed a challenge.
From a young age, I was trying to figure out how to create a business that would engage me physically while providing a service. As a kid, I would knock on my neighbors doors and offer my services including "sweeping walkways, decks, driveways". After my schooling, I started a landscape maintenance company which I operated for close to 20 years in Snohomish County.
During that time I met my forever companion which would allow me the opportunity to create a family of my own. I then started an insulation company when my children were young, which granted me new adventures in a industry I've grown to love and respect.
In between it all, I've been able to work in other industries, learning different processes and skill sets which in one or another has brought me back to working for myself.
Founding Sound Hauling & Junk Removal has provided me the ability to once again be in the service industry and include my growing sons in the process. We look forward to helping you clean your spaces of unwanted items and debris along with our other services.
Amber was born and raised on the Northern California Coast. She studied Biology at BYU Provo before she moved to Seattle Washington. Her move to Seattle was supposed to be a temporary visit, but she met Alex her first week in Washington. They quickly fell in love, got married, and are now raising three sons.
Amber is a Licensed Veterinary Technician and loves working in emergency and critical care medicine. She also runs a small beeswax candle company
She loves living in the PNW! She loves gardening, cooking, running, visiting the beach, and going snowboarding with her family. Her favorite thing in life is being with her husband and their three boys.
Burl, now 14 yrs old, has always had a entrepreneurial spirit. At 11 he started a leaf raking business. He walked around the neighborhood and knocked on doors offering his services.
That quickly grew into adding more yard care options and has been able to keep him busy during the Summers and after school. He started helping his dad with the hauling business last year and loves figuring out how to load the trailer like a game of Tetris so it all fits efficiently.
He is an avid skate and snowboarder and enjoys cooking with his mother.
Bodhi, now 11, and the comedian of the family is also working on building a business. He started a car washing and detailing company this last Summer.
He had goals in mind and how he would achieve them. He purchased his own car washing equipment and got out there offering his skills. He looks forward to being able to not have to use a ladder to reach the roofs of cars.
Bodhi is also a skate and snowboarder and is looking forward to competing in the USASA again this year. He will also start helping his dad on hauling jobs from time to time as he has goals to save for growing his current business.
Ozzy, at 6 yrs old is the loudest voice, "literally", in the family. Keeping up with his brothers on the slopes and being the most extroverted of us all, he makes friends where ever he goes.
He looks forward to the day when he can drive dads "big truck" and run his own business of driving dump trucks and heavy equipment.
